Museo Camera

OUR MISSION

Museo Camera, one of Southeast Asia’s largest centres for photography, is truly a hidden gem in the Millenium city of Gurgaon. Museo Camera is a modern museum spread over 18,000 sq. ft. that showcases art, science and history of photography. It is a unique space that has on display over 4,000 cameras and other photographic equipment, some dating back to the 1850s, along with historical archives from the same era, works of legends as well as cutting edge contemporary lens-based art.

  • We believe educating our younger generations about the history of photography as an art form is crucial to sustaining it. The generation born in the digital age isn’t quite aware of how this art form developed over time. We hope that our collections as well as the knowledge we would share with the students sparks a flame of curiosity and interest in their minds.

  • Museums such as ours can be integral spaces for learning and exploring and we encourage students of all age groups to visit us.

  • It is an interesting place for students to explore subjects like history, sociology, chemistry and physics and see them beautifully come together.

  • We believe children (and adults) learn best when the environment is interactive and there is opportunity for creative and critical thinking – that’s why we offer various customised programs to schools which combine theoretical as well as practical knowledge.
