Among the many superlatives, Delhi has gained over the years, one which Delhi would love to shrug off is that of being the most unsafe place for women in the country. 

 

Delhi is not only known as the crime capital, but also a place not safe for women. The voice for a safer Delhi grew louder after the December 16, 2012 gangrape of a physiotherapist girl in a moving bus. 

 

However, Delhi police and many women NGOs are trying their best to make Delhi a safe and friendly place for women.
